Ladies and gentlemen;
As we gather here today‚ at the end of our journey in Japan‚ I stand before you with a heart full of gratitude and thankfulness. I am very honored to represent my fellow colleagues who trusted me with delivering how we feel and felt during the course of this training. I hope I live up to their expectations.

We came from different countries‚ different cultures and backgrounds but I believe that we all came to Japan with the will to learn and make a change within our countries‚ even if it's a small one.

First and foremost‚ we extend our deepest appreciation to Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)‚ and to Kitakyushu International Techno-cooperative Association (KITA)‚ for conducting such a successful training program and for giving us the opportunity to be part of it. We all came with different expectations‚ different understandings of what is IWRM and I believe that we all know what it really means now and how to implement it. Thank you‚ Yamaguchi-san‚ deputy Director general of JICA Kyushu; thank you Kitamura-san general manager in KITA for your presence with us today and for ensuring that the program was successful.

Special thanks to Ogata San‚ our course leader‚ a special person who is full of wisdom and kindness. Thank you for making us feel home‚ thank you for your efforts and hospitality. We appreciate your guidance‚ constant feedback‚ and valuable advice. You're an impressive person. Thank you.

And we couldn't have made it this far‚ without a very helpful and dedicated person‚ someone who has been very (very) patient with us‚ who paid attention to the smallest details‚ not only within the lectures but also what we can eat and explore during our free time; she was always involved in every aspect of our stay and tried hardly to deliver our thoughts and ideas and to understand our concerns. Deep gratitude goes to the one and only‚ Yamane-san‚ our training coordinator. Thank you very much.

And we can't forget about NAKATSUKA-san‚ our program officer‚ who was of a great help to us‚ she tried to facilitate our stay here and helped us with our concerns and tried hardly to meet our needs. We know that you are working hard behind the scenes even if we didn't get to see you much. Your efforts are very much appreciated‚ thank you.

we would also like to express our deepest gratitude to the esteemed professors and professionals who generously dedicated their time to join us and share with us their experiences‚ knowledge‚ and expertise. We truly appreciate their commitment and dedication. And we will make sure to make good use of what we learned from them to tackle the water challenges we face in our respective countries and apply the IWRM when managing our waters.

Gratitude extends to the various organizations that graciously opened their doors to us‚ warmly embracing our presence and generously sharing their work and experiences without hesitation.

I would like to emphasize how deeply we appreciate the thoughtful design and richness of this program. It provided us with a comprehensive understanding of the different approaches to implement integrated water resources management. The program's structure and content allowed us to understand the meaning behind IWRM‚ floods control‚ river basin management‚ climate change‚ consensus building‚ monitoring and the list is long. Overall‚ this program have significantly enriched our insights and equipped us with the knowledge to tackle the complexities of managing water resources in a holistic and sustainable manner.

And of course‚ we can't go on without thanking The JICA staff. Their kindness and warmth were truly exceptional. They made us feel home within this center‚ remembering our names and addressing our concerns with constant smiles. That was very much appreciated.

Throughout this course‚ beyond the technical learning‚ we had the chance to immerse ourselves in Japanese social values. You inspired us by your politeness and Respect‚ Punctuality‚ Cleanliness and your dedication to keeping things in order. We have always considered Japan as a role model in everything‚ and the actions of its people have validated this belief.

In front of Dr. Tetsu Nakamura's monument
I would like to finish by dedicating this speech to a person who was part of this program without his knowledge. His ideas and his dedication to improving the lives of people in need taught us lessons about what truly matters in life. And I will always remember his saying: Be a light. Thank you very much Dr Tetsu Nakamura for inspiring us to be good people. May you rest in peace.

And coming from the land of the setting sun Morocco; I say thank you to the land of the rising sun. This experience will always remain in our hearts.

Arigatou Gozaimasu.
