Dear distinguished guests‚ respected JICA representatives‚ dear professors‚ coordinators‚ and dear friends‚

It is truly a privilege to stand here today on behalf of our group. My name is Sjuzi‚ from Albania‚ and I am honored to share a few words as we close this remarkable journey.
First of all‚ on behalf of all of us‚ I would like to sincerely thank JICA for organizing this five-week training program on the Enhancement of Startup Ecosystems in Regional Cities. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Hidefumi Nagai Director of Training Program Division in JICA. Thank you as well‚ Mr. Odawara‚ Senior Managing Director of KITA for taking the time to be here with us on this special occasion.

This was more than a training program. It was an immersion — into policy thinking‚ long-term strategy‚ discipline‚ and culture. We learned how Japan approaches startup ecosystem development with structure‚ patience‚ and vision. We saw that building an ecosystem is not only about startups or capital — it is about institutions‚ collaboration‚ and trust. And we saw how regional cities like Kitakyushu play an important role in shaping national innovation.

Dear professors and experts‚
One month in Japan may not give us a new identity. But even one meaningful conversation with you can change the way we think about time‚ responsibility‚ leadership‚ and our daily professional lives. Beyond the strategies and frameworks‚ what we will remember most is the human experience. Every morning started with kindness — from the warm welcome at JICAFE to the simple but powerful “Ohayo gozaimasu.” Because a city is not defined by its buildings. A city is defined by its people.

Morioka-san‚ thank you for your dedication and discipline. You reminded us that responsibility and respect for one’s work are not just professional standards — they are virtues.
Aratake-san‚ thank you so much for your patience‚ and for your care in responding to every question.
Oshiro-san‚ thank you for your steady guidance and for ensuring that this program was dynamic and meaningful.

Through your efforts‚ Kitakyushu truly became our home away from home. During these five weeks we played many roles. We were trainees. We were professionals. We were tourists and consumers. But above all‚ we were ambassadors of our countries. And what began as colleagues from Serbia‚ Egypt‚ Ukraine‚ Albania slowly became something more — a small community built on curiosity‚ dialogue‚ and friendship. As representatives of our institutions‚ we see ourselves as bridges between our countries and Japan. The knowledge we gained here will not remain theoretical. It will travel with us‚ and it will become action in our own ecosystems.

And so we leave Japan with new insights — but also with something deeper: a renewed respect for discipline‚ community‚ and quiet excellence.

Let me finish with a simple thought.
Journeys like this do not really end when we leave. They continue in the ideas we carry‚ in the friendships we keep‚ and in the bridges we build afterwards. Thank you‚ from the bottom of our hearts. And we hope this is not goodbye but simply the beginning of a long connection.
