Good morning everyone
When we first came to Japan‚ nine of us arrived from nine different countries. We came here to learn‚ to improve our skills‚ and to take new experiences back home. But I don't think any of us expected that‚ by the end of this journey‚ we would have so many memories together‚ and that saying goodbye would be so difficult.
We came from Belize‚ Bangladesh‚ Cambodia‚ Mongolia‚ Malawi‚ Rwanda‚ Egypt‚ the Maldives‚ and Senegal. We brought different cultures‚ languages‚ experiences‚ and dreams. We came as participants in a training program‚ but along the way‚ we became friends.
My name is Momen‚ from Egypt‚ and I feel truly honored to stand here today‚ not only for myself‚ but on behalf of all nine of us.

Scene of Practical Training
When I look back at our time in Japan‚ I remember much more than classrooms and lectures. I remember our first trip to Sarakura Mountain‚ exploring Kokura together‚ visiting the zoo and the Yaskawa Museum‚ and enjoying meals at our favorite Indian restaurants.
Somehow‚ I also became the group's map! Whenever we planned to go somewhere‚ my friends would ask me to find the route. I was always happy to help. But although I sometimes helped my friends find their way around Japan‚ they helped make this journey meaningful for me‚ too. And of course‚ we had a few unexpected adventures in Tokyo that still make us smile.

I also want to thank Koga-san for inviting us to enjoy sushi together. For some of us‚ it was our first time trying it. I think what made that meal special was not only experiencing Japanese food‚ but feeling the kindness behind the invitation.
And beyond these outings‚ I will remember how we looked after one another. We called to check whether everyone had eaten‚ shared food‚ helped one another with everyday problems‚ and exercised together between lectures. These may sound like small things‚ but when you are far from home‚ small acts of care can mean a great deal.

To Kato-san‚ JICA‚ and the leadership of JICA Kyushu Center‚ thank you for making this opportunity possible. To Koga-san and Yanase-san‚ thank you for guiding us‚ supporting us‚ and taking care of so many details throughout our stay. Your kindness made our time here much easier and more enjoyable.

To Miki-san‚ Ueyama-san‚ and all our lecturers‚ thank you for sharing your knowledge‚ experience‚ and time with us. We will carry what you taught us back to our countries‚ our universities‚ and our students.
And to my eight friends‚ I want to say something especially personal.
I may be the youngest among us‚ but I have learned so much from every one of you. Thank you for trusting me‚ helping me‚ including me‚ and allowing me to be part of this group. I hope I have helped you in some ways‚ just as you have helped me. I will always be grateful for the laughter‚ the conversations‚ and the memories we have shared.

Soon‚ we will return to our different countries and responsibilities. I hope we will continue to stay in touch‚ visit one another‚ and perhaps collaborate on research or other projects in the future. And even if we simply meet again one day‚ share a meal‚ and remember our adventures in Japan‚ that would make me very happy.
We may be returning to nine different countries‚ but I hope this is not the last chapter of our story together.
On behalf of all nine participants‚ thank you to everyone who made this journey possible. And to my eight friends‚ thank you for making it something I will remember long after I leave Japan.
Minasan‚ hontō ni arigatō gozaimashita. Mata aimashō.
Thank you very much‚ everyone. Until we meet again.
